“Environmental, Social, Governance, or ESG, is deeply engrained in the BW company culture. We understand the need to act responsibly and empathetically especially in times of uncertainty. We are an agile, purpose-led company. And with each new project, hire, and development, we seek new ways to support general well-being, diversity, gender equality, and clean, affordable energy.”

BW’s ESG is an integral part of our operation cycle and underpins every aspect of our culture, down to the partners with whom we choose to associate ourselves. It is the foundation on which our purpose and focus are built, putting sustainability and the environment, people and communities, and corporate governance and management at the core of everything we do.
We seek to meet global sustainability standards, ensuring each project is as safe as it is viable. We strive to create a welcoming, inclusive, equal culture for men and women across all aspects of the business. And we challenge ourselves as individuals and as a team to improve with each passing year.

Environmental Due Diligence
We assess the land area of each new project for any potential environmental risks, i.e., contamination or liabilities. This is an essential first step in our decision-making process, whether for land acquisition or building purchase.
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
We ensure all new greenfield developments are environmentally sound and sustainable. Our EIA determines the environmental risk and influence of a given project. Where the risk outweighs the benefit, the EIA allows us to examine alternative sites, plans, designs, and implementation through prevention, minimization, mitigation, or compensation to further impart positive impacts.
We install solar LED streetlights for all new projects—weather-proof, water resistant, and with a longer life, this approach yields proven financial and environmental savings.
Green Certificate Application and Product Innovation
Adhering to the standards set out by green certifications, we plan and deliver projects to meet the strict guidelines. BW remains ahead of the curve on product improvement and innovation, closely following clients’ requirements in conjunction with the country’s relevant codes and regulations.
HSE Execution Plan
BW’s HSE Management System is in place to protect employees and visitors against all on-site injuries and incidents for under-construction projects. ZERO INCIDENTS is the goal.
Core Values, Code of Conduct & Internal Compliance
Our policies and training reflect the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Anti-Bribery Compliance Policy, Code of Ethics, and Whistleblower Policy. BW’s internal Compliance Officer ensures the company’s activities reinforce the integrity of our company culture. All of our staff are subject to compliance training and e-learning programs.
BW Work Environment
Dedicated to creating diversified and equal work environments, BW creates self-development opportunities for all staff in addition to such staff activities as sponsored language-learning programs.
